JOB TITLE

Project Manager (Reports to Senior Project Manager)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A McCon Project Manager is an exemplary customer service representative who manages complex, multi-tiered and rapidly changing challenges.  A McCon Project Manager is a team player who is responsible for taking the lead role in managing large multisite programs for a National Accounts, while working alongside other Project Managers and Project Coordinators. This role must function with an entrepreneurial mindset and be a resourceful problem solver with a keen sense of urgency. Oftentimes McCon projects intersect with other programs, which means the PM will require cross-program coordination. The PM must be able to think “globally” rather than linear to accomplish a successful result. The PM is responsible for key metrics, deliverables, and team member performance. Metrics are measured in real-time in Smartsheet and visible to clients at all times.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Prepares Program Plan including objectives, methodologies, strategy, and critical milestones
  • Defines Project Scope, Goals, and Deliverables across the program
  • Prepares and manages Project Budgets for each project in the program
  • Plans and Schedules Project and Program Timelines
  • Maintain current statuses to provide visibility to the client
  • Coordinates multiple vendors across various trades to achieve overall program goals
  • Tracks vendor deliverables across multisite projects
  • Leads and Directs Project Team, whether internal, client or third-party
  • Reports and Communicates Progress of Project to Project Stakeholders
  • Coordinates project closeout and necessary documentation with vendor and brand
  • Tracks Issue Resolution/punch list
  • Constantly learning as industry trends emerge

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of two years of experience as a Project Manager in enterprise-wide programs
  • Having a minimum of two years reviewing invoices, costs, and profitability for a project
  • Skilled at monitoring projects with upward of 1,000 sites at a given time
  • Experience in Petroleum Equipment Industry is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Outlook and Excel
  • Preferred proficiency with Smartsheet
  • Basic knowledge of fuel system assessment, repair, and maintenance
  • Process oriented, adhering to maintain metrics which are mandated in the McCon SLA
  • Highly self-motivated
  • Critical thinker and problem solver, able to interpret data
  • Clear and deliberate communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to other states as the job demands
  • Ability to successfully manage and complete a high volume of work at any given time
  • Function in an open environment without becoming distracted
  • Perform analysis on large data sets with the ability to break them into logical segments
  • Willingness to be cross trained to support the team as the need arises

Service Project Manager (Reports to Service Manager)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A McCon Service Project Manager is an exemplary customer service representative that can manage complex challenges in a dynamic environment.  A McCon Service Project Manager will coordinate internal service technician resources and vendors for the execution of projects within McCon’s Service Department.  The Service Project Manager will be instrumental to managing multiple objectives across multiple project types and may be responsible for anywhere between 200 and 1000 projects at a time.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Works in a fast paced, open environment
  • Is a liaison for clients, to provide information or status updates as required
  • Is a liaison for service technicians assigned to projects, to assist with changes or opportunities in the field
  • Works with others to define and understand project scope and objectives
  • Ensures technical feasibility and resource availability
  • Coordinates strategic partners, internal and external to McCon
  • Develops a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Ensures that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Monitors project activities through the day and reacts to opportunities and changes
  • Manages changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
  • Builds schedules, logistic paths, and staffing plans
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs
  • Attends meetings and conference calls associated with Projects and activities

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven working experience in project management
  • Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Organized with attention to detail and ability to multitask
  • Experience in Petroleum Equipment Industry is preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, namely Outlook and Excel

JOB TITLE

Construction Estimator (Reports to Construction Manager)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A McCon Construction Estimator will support all departments to derive project estimates.  Responsibilities will include reviewing blueprints, specifications, and related documents, gathering subcontractor proposals, calculating project costs, and building project estimates. The Estimator will be involved in all pre-construction activities inclusive of project prospecting, attendance at pre-bid meetings, and vendor/subcontractor selection.  Additionally, the estimator will work with project managers to ensure awarded project cost is managed against the estimated value.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Perform accurate quantity take offs from plans and specification
  • Obtain quotes and define scope of work for subcontractors and vendors
  • Communicate effectively with subcontractors, vendors, and clients
  • Explore documentation in order to gain a deep understanding of the project requirements
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with key Customers
  • Build and maintain long term relationships with key subcontractors and suppliers
  • Visit Site and Attend onsite pre-bid meetings as necessary to prepare bid
  • Coordination with Director of Construction on scheduling and capacity constraints
  • Compute cost factors and prepare estimates by planning, producing a work schedule
  • Negotiation and buyout with subcontractors
  • Prioritizes and plans work activities; plans for additional resources; develops realistic action plans
  • Perform additional assignments per Supervisor’s direction
  • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
  • Understand Cost Trend and price volatility of parts, material, resources

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Highschool Degree or equivalent is required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or Engineering, preferred

CREDENTIALS

  • 5+ years’ experience in construction estimating
  • Strong understanding of construction processes
  • Self-motivated, self-starter, who demonstrates the ability to manage time effectively
  • Proficient computer skills, knowledge and efficiency
  • Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications to evaluate and comprehend the total scope of work required
  • Broad understanding of Petroleum industry
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Functions effectively as part of a team; Collaborative
  • Strong math/analytical skills
  • Ability to meet critical deadlines
  • Must be dependable
  • Customer oriented

Field Technician            Reports to Service Manager

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

A McCon Field Technician is a key role for the organization. Field Tech’s interface with store operations and equipment, performing maintenance and service. As the “face” of McCon, they perform field service, trouble-shooting and major repairs on fuel dispensing systems and control equipment. They also support other technicians. Experienced technicians provide mentoring and OJT for developing technicians.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Conducts him/herself as a role model for all technicians and trainees
  • Personal appearance, attendance, punctuality, paperwork, following procedures service truck cleanliness and organization and troubleshooting procedures are maintained at the highest level
  • Performs system start-up and commissioning
  • Conducts routine diagnostics using a laptop, specialized software, and test equipment
  • Trains customers in the operation and use of the equipment
  • Programs and configures POS systems, networking, tank monitors, and fuel management system controllers
  • Calibrates and tests equipment to manufacturers, EPA, TDA and TCEQ specifications
  • Controls and maintains truck inventory, tools & test equipment
  • Maintains product technical documentation and service bulletins
  • Completes applicable service reports, installation reports and manufacturers documentation

EDUCATION AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Requires mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Computer literate and the ability to effectively use specialized application and diagnostic software
  • Troubleshooting skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Thorough knowledge of fuel delivery and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of the state weights and measures criteria for performing dispenser calibration
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of safety equipment

  • Ability to program a Gilbarco dispenser and perform routine diagnostics (training provided)
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills

  • Working knowledge of fuel delivery and monitoring systems
  • Knowledge of the state weights and measures criteria for performing dispenser calibration
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and the use of safety equipment
  • Ability to drive several hours per day
  • Some weekend and holiday hours are required

CREDENTIALS

Completion of a 2-year technical school, military mechanical or electronic training, or the equivalent in work experience.
